Course description
What will I learn?
This course is ideal if you would like to develop a career in working with children aged 0-5 years and need a starting point. The course aims to develop skills so that early years professionals are able to support children with their learning, as well as knowing how to maintain a safe and interesting environment. As this course requires a good level of English, you will take an assessment during the first class to confirm your place. After successfully completing this course, you can progress on to the Children & Young People’s WorkforceLevel 2 Certificate, for which you will need to have recently completed a minimum of 140 hours of voluntary work in a Childcare setting, and then maintain a minimum of 14 hours a week during the course. You will also need to evidence a Level 1 English qualification or above. Admission is by a short, informal discussion - please phone to register your interest.
