Suitability - Who should attend?

  • Relevant NQF/QCF/RQF Level 4 diploma or equivalent recognised qualification.
  • Learner must be 18 years or older at the beginning of the course
  • Mature learners (over 21) with management experience
  • International students whose first language is not in English, they will need to have score of 5.5 or above in IELTS (International English Language Testing System)

Training Course Content

Unit1- Contemporary Issues in Tourism and Hospitality

The point of this unit is to develop learners’ ability to examine contemporary issues that have an impact on the tourism and hospitality business and recognize the related information points from various sources.

Unit2- Marketing Management

This unit aims to provide learners with a deep understanding of the theories of marketing. Learners will develop the skill to do the application of the marketing mix in the right circumstances and to describe the role of effective marketing to the tourism and hospitality companies.

Unit3- Customer Relations Management

This unit helps the learners with a clear understanding of the significance of consumer relations in the tourism and hospitality industry. Students will develop the skills to identify the elements affecting efficient customer service, including coordination and teamwork, sales, and promotion. Learners will understand how to make their skills effectively in the management of good customer relations.

Unit4- Operations Management

The point of this unit is to provide learners with information on operations management within the tourism and hospitality sector and the processes, project, and quality management to be retained in association with this function. Learners will develop the skill to apply operations management knowledge to tourism and hospitality companies and value the operations function.

Unit5- Financial Management

This unit aims to provide students with basic theories and principles of financial accounting and financial management in the tourism and hospitality sector and also its practical application. This unit should be learned by considering the local, national and international legal status and its practical application.

Unit6- Human Resource Management

The main intention of this unit is to provide learners with the skills to select and apply proper human resources theories to the tourism and hospitality sector. Learners will develop their ability in recruiting and retaining staff, and also the significance of training and development. Learners will get a deep knowledge of the importance of cultural diversity in Human resources.

  • OTHM Level 6 Diplomas; or
  • Will be eligible to gain direct entry into relevant Bachelor degree programmes; or
