Course description
Family Picture Books - Extra Child: In this fun and interactive course for families, you and your child will learn about the basics of picture book-making, before planning, writing and illustrating your own picture book to take away with you.
Price includes one adult and one child. Together youll discuss your favourite illustrated books so you can gain an understanding of the creative process and the elements that help make a picture book successful.
Through a series of exercises you will brainstorm ideas for the character, settings and stories. You will learn how to use storyboards to plan the relationship between the illustrations and text.
Finally, youll use a variety of methods to bind your books and create an exciting cover design. The course will end with a short session in which you are encouraged to read your stories to each other.
