Course description
Teams are the basic unit for delivering work – and if your team, group or project-unit doesn’t gel there is often a reduction in quality, more bottlenecks, less innovation and reduced customer service. Ultimately, opportunities to deliver are lost. Using the innovative and unique COTG Skills Report for each member of the group, this course enables participants to identify how they work with each other, what they do and don’t do and the opportunities to change their behaviours to generate quick and immediately positive impacts.
Colleagues can build psychological safety by creating the right climate and behaviours within the team. Those who do this best act as catalysts, empowering and enabling other leaders in the team, even those with no formal authority, to help cultivate psychological safety by role modelling and reinforcing the mutual expected behaviours. This positive team climate – in which team members value one another’s contributions, care about one another’s well-being and have input into how the team carries out its work – is one of the most important drivers of a team’s performance.
The philosophy of this course is based upon modern interpretations of leadership and team success as being a function of collaboration where every person involved is recognised as being a leader irrespective of role or hierarchical position. The actions that each individual takes in combination delivers successful leadership. We show you how to do this for your own unit.
