This qualification is essential for any individual, at any level of the company, who is involved in using ladders or stepladder or inspecting them.
There are no pre-course requirements for this course.

On completion of this course, delegates will be able to:
- Understand how to safely use and inspect ladders and stepladders.
- Identify the potential hazards arising from working at height.
- Describe the correct methods of inspecting and using ladders and stepladders.
- Demonstrate the correct methods for inspecting and using ladders and stepladders
- Be aware of the function of all the components used with ladders and stepladders, ensuring their correct use and assembly
- Awareness of their duties under the regulations
- Demonstrate competence in use and inspecting a ladder or stepladder.

Course delivery details
The course is delivered by one of our fully qualified tutors, and certified by the ladder association. The tutors use a variety of theoretical and practical input, including group exercises, discussions, interactive PowerPoint and practical demonstrations.
Examination: each candidate will complete a short, written exam at the end of the course, as well as a practical assessment where they must demonstrate skills learned on the course.
