Course description

This course will give a greater understanding of the CDM Regulations which apply to all construction, demolition, and maintenance work. The presentation covers the Construction Design and Management Regulations and the roles of the Client, Principal Designer, Designer, Principal Contractor and Contractors during the morning session.

The course will help delegates with the interpretation of the regulation. Such as when and how the regulation applies, the health and safety duties and roles under the regulations for all duty holders, general safety requirements for all construction sites, and general information about the regulation such as special risks and documentation requirements.

In the afternoon we guide the trainees through the key documents involved in CDM (Pre-Construction Information, Construction Phase Plans and the Health and Safety File). We then move on to main principles and processes of Contractor approval and management.
