CDM Regulations
The Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007 (CDM) is now a legal requirement on all construction projects in Great Britain. The CDM Regulations impact on every aspect of a project from concept through to design, construction, operation maintenance and demolition. This course is designed for anyone with responsibility for implementing, undertaking, and monitoring and/or managing CDM projects within their workplace. It will provide participants with an overview of the legal framework and its relationship to construction activities, provide an understanding of the new CDM Regulations 2007 and the practicalities of its application and serve as an introduction to additional construction specific training.

Who should attend?
Engineers and Technical Professionals with management responsibilities. Property, Facilities and Maintenance Managers, Health and Safety Managers, Engineers involved in the procurement, planning, design or implementation of construction work (including building maintenance). CDM Co-ordinators and Engineers moving into a Health and Safety role.

On completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- Demonstrate an understanding of the duty holders legal responsibilities,
- Show an understanding and awareness of the principal changes and reasons,
- The new approach to be adopted and the regulations, with respect to content and its implementation.
- Evaluate the competency of the persons that have been appointed and the company’s liabilities relating to them,
- Understand the necessity for resource and the availability of information,
- To aid compliance with statutory duties.
