Suitability - Who should attend?
1. Edexcel Qualification Option: This Point Blank course is accredited by Edexcel. Therefore, if you wish to opt in for this accreditation and gain the BTEC qualification associated with this course, you will need to provide evidence of at least one item from the following list: a) 4 GCSE passes at A* - C (music and English preferred) or equivalent b) BTEC Level 2 Diploma or equivalent c) Relevant experience d) Exceptional ability An interest in sound recording and computer music is relevant. 2. Non-Accredited Option: If you do not wish to participate in the Edexcel accreditation and wish instead to concentrate on the practical, non-academic side of your Point Blank course, you can take this course without any prior experience. It is creative and practical in nature so academic grades are not required to enrol. Point Blank ensures that students have a sound grasp of all the fundamental music production skills before moving on to more complex techniques in later course modules.
