Course description
This one day theory course is the ideal preparation for taking the British Beekeepers’ Association’s (BBKA) Honey Bee Health Certificate which was first introduced in 2018. Plumpton College are one of the first organisations to run such a course. The qualification aims to encourage beekeepers who have been awarded the BBKA Basic Certificate and have at least three years of beekeeping experience to improve their understanding and practice of beekeeping. This course will work through the theoretical elements of the syllabus and prepare the beekeeper for the practical demonstrations required for the assessment which will be organised by your local group over the Summer.
