Course description
What is the NVQ Level 6 Diploma?
The NVQ Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Practice is a bachelor’s degree-level qualification. It is for people whose responsibilities include developing and implementing health and safety procedures within their workplace.
NVQs are the UK’s premier vocational qualification, ideal if you prefer a practical, evidence-based approach to learning that takes place within your working environment. They provide an effective and enriching alternative to academic study and are accredited by ProQual, a globally recognised awarding body.
Completing the NVQ Level 6 allows health and safety practitioners to apply enhanced knowledge to their work environment.
Candidates who already hold, or are part way through, the NVQ5 in Health and Safety can upgrade at a reduced price.

The Level 6 NVQ Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety is a distance learning and assessment programme. For this course, your work and evidence are submitted electronically — either via a cloud-based system or by email.
Support and training from your manager are provided principally through telephone calls, Skype, and emails. Your course manager is a dedicated resource, always ready to offer help and advice on a one-to-one basis.
There are ten mandatory modules to complete before the NVQ Level 6 Diploma can be awarded; these align with the ten learning outcomes. You must evidence your knowledge and skillset for each of these modules using activities you've completed in the workplace, so being in a position to do so is necessary to study the course.
