What is the NEBOSH HSE Certificate in Process Management?
NEBOSH has joined forces with Great Britain’s Health and Safety Regulator, the Health and Safety Executive (HSE), to develop the NEBOSH HSE Certificate in Process Safety Management. Throughout the course candidates will develop the key skills needed to assess risks and hazards, protect against fire and effectively lead process management while considering health and safety.
The NEBOSH HSE Certificate in Process Management equips delegates with a crucial understanding of the accepted principles and recognised industrial practices for managing process risks. The course also provides a major career asset, as 87% of UK employers ask for a NEBOSH qualification when they are recruiting for health and safety roles.

The NEBOSH HSE Certificate in Process Safety Management is a one-unit qualification, consisting of the following elements:
Unit PSM1: Process safety management
Element 1: Process safety leadership
Element 2: Management of process risk
Element 3: Process safety hazard control
Element 4: Fire protection and emergency response
Training Course Content
The National HSE Certificate in Process Safety Management involves a minimum of 28 taught hours and approximately 20 hours of private study and background reading.
When studied through virtual classroom, the course is 4 days in addition to online revision and an online exam.
When studied through in-house learning, the course is 4 days.
The online exams are run by NEBOSH every two months. Exams are included in the cost of the course. You will be contacted with regards to exam dates when the course has been booked.
Our classroom course timings are 09:00-17:00 Monday - Friday.

Upon completing the NEBOSH HSE Certificate in Process Safety Management, delegates will have an understanding of the following areas of knowledge:
Establishment of process management systems
Asset management and maintenance strategies
Safe start-up and shutdown of process plant
Performance standards for safety critical systems and equipment
Hazards and controls for:
Chemical reactions
