Extended Diploma Level 3 Animal Management
Animal Management students have access to an exciting range of specialist resources at the College. Our Animal Welfare Centres house a wide range of animals, you will use the Animal Welfare Centre to develop your animal care skills and complete behavioural observations. As part of your course you will undertake commercial experience, where you will learn and develop practical husbandry skills that will be vital for your future in animal care and management.
Biology and animal management is the focus of this two year course. You will be tasked with understanding how to recognise and treat a range of diseases as well as advanced animal care across all our species. A large part of your studies will include practical breeding and the theory of animal genetics as well as general anatomy and physiology of the animals on site.

Entry Requirements
Five GCSEs at 9-4, including English, Maths and Science.
Continuing Studies
Progression Opportunities
Students generally progress onto a higher level of Animal Welfare course, move into a job with training (such as an apprenticeship) or move into full time employment.
