Course description
Diploma Level 3 Animal Management
Animal Management students have access to an exciting range of specialist resources at the College. Our Animal Welfare Centres house a wide range of animals from meerkats and snakes to llamas and rabbits. You will use the Animal Welfare Centre to develop your animal care skills and complete behavioural observations. As part of your course you will undertake commercial experience, where you will learn and develop practical husbandry skills that will be vital for your future in animal care and management.
Your animal welfare knowledge will be further expanded on this course, taking on a wider range of wildlife conservation and the ethics involved on a national and international scale. You will engage in animal behavioural studies on a deeper level, maintaining a healthy kennel and cattery as well as advanced horse care. The movement and care of our in-house animals will be your focus as you begin to look at the wider context of animal conservation and behaviour.
