Diploma Level 2 Site Carpentry
If you enjoy working with wood and want to put your practical skills to good use, this could be an ideal career for you. You'll need an eye for detail, good maths skills for working out measurements and the ability to follow technical plans.
This course will advance your knowledge of proper carpentry practice whilst on site. Students will develop their woodwork skills as well as widen their knowledge of construction technology and tool maintenance. You will also be taught the safe set-up and operation of a circular saw.
You will gain a general understanding of theory and develops the practical skills needed to work as a carpenter or joiner. This includes hanging doors, fixing architrave and skirting, constructing kitchen and bathroom units and setting out and fixing roofs.

Completion of Level 1 Diploma in Carpentry and Joinery.
Continuing Studies
Progression Opportunities
Students generally progress onto a higher level of Carpentry and Joinery course, move into a job with training (such as an apprenticeship) or move into full time employment.
