Diploma Level 2 Animal Care
Animal Management students have access to an exciting range of specialist resources at the College. Our Animal Welfare Centres house a wide range of animals from meerkats and snakes to llamas and rabbits. You will use the Animal Welfare Centre to develop your animal care skills and complete behavioural observations. As part of your course you will undertake commercial experience, where you will learn and develop practical husbandry skills that will be vital for your future in animal care and management.
This course aims to provide a basic understanding of the practical and theoretical elements of animal health, welfare and care. Students will work with a wide range of species in order to gain and develop extensive husbandry skills and build upon associated knowledge.
Some modules included within the course are Introduction to Breeds and Grooming, Maintain Animal Health and Welfare and Understand the Basic Principles of Animal Biology. An integral part of the course is the completion of various additional qualifications which are designed to enhance future career opportunities.

Four GCSE grades at 3-2 or a Level 1 Diploma in a related subject.
