Course description

Using an interactive case study of a project involving a number of insurance contracts, during this in-person course you will find out how to recognise the different types of insurance available and their purposes in construction projects.


Expert speaker Sarah Schütte will look at the roles of key individuals involved in insurance placement and claims, how insurance is provided for in project documents, practical techniques for managing claims, plus much more.


This course is an introduction to construction insurance, and will be of interest to lawyers as well as construction industry professionals, including surveyors and engineers.

Using an interactive case study of a project involving a number of insurance contracts, find out how to recognise the different types of insurance available and their purposes in construction projects:

  • What project risks can I identify and how can they be covered off?
  • What should I do when an insurance claim is made in relation to a project?

This course is an introduction to construction insurance, and will be of interest to lawyers as well as construction industry professionals, including surveyors and engineers.
