Safe and effective team working:

The aim of this unit is to provide learners with an understanding of how to work not only effectively, but safely as a part of a team. You will come to understand regulations, safe working practices and procedures that apply to a work area, and be able to identify any potential hazards - and how to reduce them. 

You will also understand effective team working, the importance of building effective teams and working relationships, the types of problems that can occur and how best to sort them.

Principles and techniques that support workplace organisation:

The aim of this unit is to teach you about workplace organisation. You will understand the principles and techniques that support workplace organisation and the positives of having an organised working environment.

An understanding of continuous improvement techniques (Kaizen) and their application in the workplace:

This unit aims to provide you with an understanding of continuous improvement techniques (Kaizen) and how they are applied in a working environment. This unit also covers the benefits of standard working methods and standardised work documents.

How to use visual management systems:

This unit aims to help you to understand visual management systems and how they can be used to improve the work environment.

Problem-solving techniques:

The aim of this unit is to help you to understand how to identify and solve problems using formalised problem solving processes. You will understand how to identify and/or verify the root cause of a problem, and know how to prevent it.

How to carry out flow process analysis:

This unit aims to give you an understanding of flow process analysis. You will understand how to map out a process using recognised symbols within a process map and how to identify value added and non-value added activity, using this to suggest improvements for a given work area.
