Course description
The CIEH Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering will benefit anyone working in a catering setting where food is prepared, cooked and served. It is relevant to all catering operations, for example pubs, hotels, restaurants, fast-food outlets, hospitals, care and nursing homes, schools and prisons. Everyone who works in catering has a special responsibility for safeguarding the health of consumers and ensuring that the food they prepare and serve is safe to eat. This qualification underlines the importance of food safety and provides candidates with an understanding of how to identify and control food safety hazards.
