Course description
The CIEH Level 2 Award in Food Safety for Manufacturing will benefit anyone working in a manufacturing setting where food is prepared, cooked and handled. It is relevant to all food processing operations, for example fresh food processing, convenience food manufacturing, canning and bottling, temperature- and atmosphere-controlled processing and packaging. Everyone who works in food manufacturing has a special responsibility for safeguarding the health of consumers and ensuring that the food they produce is safe to eat.
This qualification underlines the importance of food safety and provides candidates with an understanding of how to identify and control food safety hazards.
