Employability Practitioner – Level 4 Apprenticeship
Are you delivering employability support in the public, private or charitable sector? If so, this apprenticeship is designed for you.
The apprenticeship aims to equip you with the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to help clients secure suitable and sustainable employment.
Employability practitioners are responsible for supporting the hardest to help individuals to change behaviours and develop knowledge and skills to improve their employability.
This level 4 apprenticeship helps to guide your work and interact with service users who may have mental health conditions, disabilities, be unemployed or face social barriers.
Apprentices can register with the Institute of Employability Professionals as an associate or member upon completion of their apprenticeship.

Suitability - Who should attend?
Entry Requirements for English and maths:
Apprentices are required to meet the initial entry points for English and maths as follows:
- For level 2 Apprenticeship training for companies the minimum entry level for English and maths is ‘Entry level 3’ (E3).
- For all level 3 and 4 Apprenticeship training for companies the minimum English and maths level 1, ideally level 2.
- For level 5 and 6 Apprenticeship training for companies, the minimum English and maths should be level 2, some individual circumstances may be considered at level 1.
Initial assessment is completed prior to starting the course. All applicants will be supported to attain these entry levels prior to joining the course, or whilst on the course, where possible.
Apprentices working with young people and vulnerable adults would be required to hold a DBS clearance as necessary.
Eligibility:
You’ll need to be:
- 16 or over by the end of the summer holidays.
- Living in England.
- Not in full-time education.
