Course description

The Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS) is a mandatory energy assessment scheme for organisations in the UK that meet the qualification criteria. For the current requirements, visit the

UK Government website.

Organisations that qualify must carry out an ESOS assessment every four years. These assessments are audits of the energy used by their buildings, industrial processes and transport to identify cost-effective energy saving measures. The assessments must be led, planned and approved by an approved ESOS Lead Energy Assessor (LEA).

IChemE is an approved authority to award this status and this course is a prerequisite to registration as an LEA with us.
