Course description
Premature babies often lack the coordinated sucking abilities necessary for feeding initially. The use of a soother (dummy) can aid in the development of these skills while offering comfort. This complimentary CPD module elucidates the concept of non-nutritive sucking and evaluates the evidence supporting its application in premature and unwell infants.
