Course description
A range of art disciplines including 2D & 3D design, drawing and painting, graphic design, printmaking, ceramics, and plasterwork. Units are focused on specialist outcomes, such as 3D Design, Time-based artwork and more conventional 2D art mediums such as drawing, painting, mixed media and print making.
- Who is the course for?
The Level 2 Diploma in Art, Design and Media is designed to provide students who want to take their enjoyment of art and design, onto a level which allows them to become more focused onto particular disciplines. The course will introduce you to a broad range of skills and techniques, building your skills and knowledge in each discipline, and allowing you to explore, develop, and test your creativity as you become more aware of the specialist direction you want to follow.
- Entry requirements
4 x GCSEs grade 3 (grade D) or above, including Art and (preferably) both English & maths, or a relevant Level 1 qualification. If you have evidence of previous artwork, and GCSE coursework, this will be looked at during the interview.
