Mathematics Progression Awards (Distance Learning)
Progression Awards are also known as Level 2 Awards or a Pre-Access course. You can study them to gain credits at Level 2 in English, Maths or Science and be awarded a formal Certificate of Achievement.
Studying a Progression Award gives you the opportunity to get the qualifications that you need to progress your career and your educational aspirations.
All of our Level 2 Awards are fully accredited through Open Awards, an Authorised Validating Agency (AVA).

Suitability - Who should attend?
There are no set entry requirements for this course.
They are very useful if you wish to brush up your skills in any of these subject areas. Also, if you want to study an Access Diploma with all Units at Level 3, but have been out of education for some time, they are an excellent way to prepare for an all-Level 3 Access Diploma.
Although Progression Awards are at the same level as GCSEs, they are not GCSE Equivalences. If you require GCSEs you can study them with us.
If you are unsure what your university entry requirements are, or would like some advice choosing the Progression Award that is right for you, we are here to help.
