Course description
The Preparing to Work in Schools - CACHE Level 1 Award Course aims to prepare learners for further learning and training, whilst developing an understanding of the teaching and learning environment in a school setting, how to support the well-being of a child or young person and child, and young person development.
The course is designed for learners who are thinking of working in a school setting or are about to start work or volunteering in a school setting. The Level 1 qualification is aimed at a range of learners, including young or mature learners without any previous study experience, learners with special educational needs or where English is not the learners first language.

Uit 2: Understand How to Keep Children & Young People Healthy, Safe & Well (F/616/5432)
Unit 3: How to Communicate with Children,Young People & Adults (J/616/5433)

The Qualification is gained from your coursework so there is no exam to complete. On successful completion, students will gain a Level 1 Award Qualification issued by NCFE CACHE.
This qualification has been accredited on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF Qualification Number - 603/2477/6). This is a Level 1 Award Qualification and has 6 credits.
