Springboard Women's Development Overview - Open Course

Springboard is for women who want to take control, become more assertive, increase their confidence & build themselves a more positive attitude in both their work and home lives.

The course takes like-minded individuals on a transformational journey, as well as positively helping organisations change and reshape. Participants recognise increased confidence, self-esteem, become more proactive, improved communication, clear goals and being re-motivated. In addition this programme develops a strong supportive network and empowerment for long after the programme has completed.

Springboard work & personal development training programme for women is delivered by our sister company Springboard Consultancy.

By the end of the programme participants will have:

The Springboard Women’s Development training course is designed for women from all backgrounds, ages and stages of their lives. It allows women to enhance their own skills and abilities, challenge power and equality, while building confidence, assertiveness and a positive image.

For employers, the Springboard training course can be used as part of a solution to address issues of diversity and inclusion in the workplace. It also develops talent for the future, helping employers to build pipelines of diverse talent and address issues of the Gender Pay Gap.

Following significant demand, Springboard Consultancy are hosting a FREE half hour virtual event, to provide potential candidates and/or their employers with a thorough understanding of how we will be delivering the next open course Springboard programme.

We will explore more about the programme, delivery, benefits, guest speakers and answer any questions you may have. Training Course Content

Springboard Women's Development Content

For over 30 years, and working across 48 countries, Springboard takes likeminded individuals on a transformational journey, as well as positively helping organisations change and reshape.
The Programme empowers women and helps them to enhance their own skills and abilities, challenge power and inequality, while also building assertiveness, a positive image, and giving them a voice.

Please find below a snapshot of the training course which is spread across 8 half day workshops and includes guest speakers;

Day 1 - Be the Authentic You

This workshop gets you starting to think about who you are, what differences gender makes and what that means for others. The workshop encourages the formation of coaching partnerships and networking within the group which gives inspiration and positivity.

Participants will:

  • Discover what they have to offer, understand themselves and what is important to them
  • Assess the influence that their gender has had and will have on others
  • Gain inspiration and positivity from others within the group and their role as a woman
  • Be inspired by a Guest Speaker
  • Form coaching partnerships
  • Understand how the Springboard workbook allows participants to support their development throughout the programme

Day 2 - Taking Control

This workshop explores the change process and taking control. It also explores core values and beliefs and how these are key in effective goal setting and decision making.

Participants will:

  • Assess where they currently are and where they want to be
  • Understand their core values and beliefs
  • Build self-awareness
  • Understand how to take more control over their lives
  • Share strategies for moving forward and managing change in their lives
  • Be inspired by a Guest Speaker
  • Establish ways of managing thoughts, feelings & behaviours
  • Practise relaxation techniques
  • Understand powerful and practical approaches to goal setting

Day 3 - Assertiveness

This workshop explores the importance of building self-esteem by valuing individual achievements

Participants will:

  • Identify and celebrate successes achieved since the start of the programme
  • Build their own self-esteem by learning to recognise and value personal achievements
  • Understand the spectrum of behaviour and focus on the practical key ingredients for effective assertive communication
  • Practise using the assertiveness ingredients
  • Gain support for their goals
  • Be inspired by a Guest speaker
  • Recognise the importance of listening in the practice of assertiveness
  • Understand the use of body language and space to increase their communication and inner confidence

Day 4 - The future

This final workshop focuses on how the learning can be implemented for the future, effective communications, presenting yourself positively and developing your personal brand.

Participants will:

  • Review their progress, share achievements and present their successes in groups to the rest of the participants
  • Gain practical ideas and support to take the next steps
  • Feel empowered and confident to take positive steps forward!
  • Explore the importance of Personal brand and develop the aspirations for the type of image to project for success (for you!)
  • Learn ways to network more effectively and explore how external networks can help to maximise their reach
  • Take personal ownership of their image and reputation
  • Be inspired by a Guest speaker
  • Learn techniques to demonstrate putting themselves across positively
  • Realistic plans for achieving their goals

Springboard Women's Development Delivery

Our Open Course approach has been developed as an ideal solution for individuals and companies looking to release small numbers of employees. We run regular starts throughout the year making it accessible for all.

Open Courses are mixed, with people from different walks of life, work experience, industries and this encourages idea sharing, thought provoking insights, peer learning and of course networking.

Delivery for the Springboard Women's Development programme (open course) consists of;

  • 4 virtual workshops consisting of two half day sessions (8 half day sessions in total) spread across four months - dates and times of each session for relevant open course will be provided in advance
  • The Springboard workbook which each participant works through on her own.
  • The provision of role models and inspirational speakers.
  • A flexible system of support e.g. helpers, mentors or coaching partnerships.
  • Networking.
  • Self-nomination.
