Organisation design is a critical skill for HR and organisation development. It is a way to manage complexity in large organisations. It is also a challenging and complex subject, combining issues of strategy, capabilities, structure, relationships, processes and people.
This course will teach you the essential models, frameworks and tools of organisation design and provide practical insights, tips and exercises to help you apply the concepts in your organisation. The course explores the core design challenge for organisations today: how to balance scale – the benefits of thinking big – with agility – the benefits of acting small. It considers the different elements that need to be combined to develop an effective organisation design, including vertical structures, lateral connections, processes, practices and leadership behaviours, and how to do this in practice.Upcoming start dates
