Course description
This course will enable you to build on existing skills to create floral designs of a good standard and involving some complexity, for celebrations of your choice. You will learn about: how to use materials; tools and equipment for a range of techniques; how to make items such as door wreaths, double-ended sprays and wrist corsages; how to use primary, secondary and tertiary colours effectively; producing samples of techniques with instructions in your portfolio; awareness of employment opportunities in the floristry industry; how to use and store plant material, tools and equipment in line with health and safety regulations.

Suitability - Who should attend?
Students will need to have some experience of floristry at beginners’ level before joining this course. The course involves note taking, measuring and calculating, so you will need to have basic levels of English and Maths. You will have a short initial assessment at the start of the course to ensure that it is suitable for you.
