What will I learn?
If you are looking for a career in the sports and fitness sector, then BTEC Subsidiary and Extended Diploma at Level 3 will take you in to work or on to university.
You will study the BTEC Subsidiary Diploma Level 3 in year 1 and move on the BTEC Extended Diploma Level 3 in year 2.
You will also have the opportunity to undertake an intense and broad based programme of qualifications and coaching awards, designed to meet the needs of the local, national and international fitness and sports development industry.

DO you know how many bones are in the human body or how many red blood cells are produced in the human body per day? No?
DO you know what happens to the brain when someone gets knocked out in UFC or boxing? No?
DO you know how `fit' you are? No?
DO you know what sports are played the most in Russia, England and Canada? No?
DO you know how to play volleyball, Judo, basketball, badminton or table tennis? No?
DO you know why your mum tells you to eat breakfast in the morning and not skip it? No?
DO you know how to instruct someone to take part in exercise? No?
Then you need to join the course and find out the answers to ALL of these questions.
How will I be taught?
You will study in our sports centre and classrooms.
The course is assessed through academic and practical projects, student portfolios, group work and integrated assessment.
How will I be assessed?
All units will be internally assessed - through a variety of assessment methods -including powerpoint presentations, role play and witness statements.
You will also be required to complete assignments as part of the course.
What can I do after this course?
The BTEC Extended Diploma in Sports (Coaching, Development and Fitness) is designed to equip you with the necessary academic and practical coaching skills required by the sports, fitness and leisure industry, or progression to University.
