Course description
The International Foundation Diploma (IFD) is a preparatory course in Art, Design and Media. On this course you'll have the option to study an integrated programme of English Language tuition alongside the creative aspects of the course.
This course is ideal for overseas (non-EU) students who can’t start a one-year Foundation Diploma in September, or who need additional English language development.
Students can develop their creative skills and produce a professional portfolio of work ready to progress on to one of our degree courses within just 24 weeks.
With a January start this course is ideal for those students who could not commence a one year Foundation Diploma in Art, Design and Media in September or who require additional English Language development. Students engage through an exciting and varied learning programme that introduces them to the different subject areas of art, design and media. Particular emphasis is placed on learning through experimentation with a broad range of materials and concepts. This enables students to identify their own strengths and areas of interest, which can then be focused in a final project of their own choice of subject area.
Successful completion of the course results in a UAL Diploma in Art & Design Foundation Studies (Level 4) qualification. Recognised for entry into UK university creative art and design degree courses. Students are also guaranteed a place on an AUB BA degree following successful completion of the course.
