Students are introduced to the basics of the construction industry including employability skills.

Suitability - Who should attend?
There are no formal entry requirements for this programme. A school/college report and an EHCP may be a requirement, based on your support needs. Your suitability for the programme will be determined by our staff after you have attended a taster experience.
We are looking for young people with an enthusiasm to learn and a desire to make progress. We want applicants to actively take part in keep warm activities set by teachers before starting in September.
Outcome / Qualification etc.
You will gain a Vocational Certificate in Learning, Employability and Progression on completion of your studies.
Training Course Content
What you'll learn
This course will give you an introduction to the construction industry and time to think about your future career. We arrange for support from our college Careers Advisers who are there to help you choose your next step.
You will learn in a supported environment at a pace that suits you. You will have the chance to complete a vocational qualification and this will give you practical hands-on experience.
Continuing Studies
On successful completion of the course, you may move on to a full-time Level 2 course, an apprenticeship or employment.
