The course focuses on developing study skills, progressing vocational experience and skills, progressing both Maths and English.

You must have completed a Level 1 Diploma or equivalent.
Training Course Content
What you'll learn
Employability units include:
- Practical work experience
- Health and Safety in the workplace
- Maths and English
- Study skills and assignment writing
- Interview skills
- Applying for a job
- Exploring job opportunities
- Responsible work practice
Animal pathway include:Animal handling, animal husbandry (farm animals), caring for animals, preparing feed for animals, selecting/preparing/maintaining animal accommodation, and principles of ecology.
Horticulture pathway include:Tractor driving, propagating plants from seeds, understanding how to select plants, preparing the ground for seeding and planting, and establishing plants or seeds in soil.
Course delivery details
Practical experience portfolio, theory and workshop skills sessions, peer and group activities. You will complete 7-9 hours of practical work experience per week (on the College site), 5-7 hours of theory per week, and develop your Maths and English skills.
Continuing Studies
Apprenticeships or a Level 2 vocational course. Any related industry employment.
