Suitability - Who should attend?
At least four GCSEs at grade 4 (grade C) or above, including English Language, Maths and an Art-based subject.
Training Course Content
What you'll learn
First Year – areas studied can include:
- Drawing and painting, including life drawing
- Printmaking
- Textiles
- Fashion
- 3D Design, Ceramics
- History of Art & Design
- Graphic Design, Illustration
- Multimedia and digital photography
Second Year (Dependent on successful completion of first year)
In the second year, emphasis is placed on choosing an area to specialise in the selection of work for a portfolio, eg: Fine art, textiles, photography, graphic design and in the preparation for applications to University and employment.
Continuing Studies
Students can progress into an entry level job in the art of design industries. Or upon successful completion of the second year, students can progress into Higher Education.
