Introduction to Tiling

This short intensive course is ideal for those of you who want to gain some introductory tiling skills. Those who complete the course will be provided with an Able Skills certificate, assured by City & Guilds. This is a great hands-on course covering both wall and floor tiling and a fantastic introduction to tiling, ideal for those of you considering maybe upgrading to larger packages of learning.

This 5 day tiling course has been recognised by City & Guilds as a comprehensive introduction to tiling so upon successful completion of this course you will receive an Able Skills certificate assured by City & Guildsto confirm the skills that you will have learned.

During this 5 day Tiling course you will cover aspects such as:

• Preparing your area
• Setting out
• Cutting and laying tiles and
• Finishing (grouting and cleaning)

We will teach you all about the different adhesives and tiles available and we will explain all of the tools used to complete a tiling installation.

You will learn floor and wall tiling including how to tile around windows and reveals, socketed areas and splash-backs.

You will learn by way of practical demonstration and application, under supervision of experienced Tiling instructors. This course is entirely hands-on and you will be tiling within minutes of arriving on the course.

The natural progression after this course is theAdvanced Tilingoption. You can consider this as a stand-alone option or you can complete this as part of the many packages that we have available it really depends just how much you want to learn. We have a variety of tiling courses available including aCity & Guilds Tiling Course and NVQ Level 2 Tiling Course.

All tools and materials will be supplied for you during the course and if after having spent a week with us tiling on this course you decide to upgrade to achieve one of the above listed recognised tiling qualifications, we will adjust your training time and fees to accommodate for the 5 day tiling course you have completed.

This course can be quite a messy course so please bring suitable clothing and for your own safety, steel capped footwear is essential.

All of our courses take place at our dedicated training centre in Dartford, Kent. The centre is easily accessible by road, being just 10 minutes from junction 1a on the M25. We are only a short walk from Dartford train station which is served by frequent trains taking 35 minutes from central London. For anyone travelling from further away, we have our own accommodation available at only £25 per night.

The cost for this certificated Introduction to Tiling course is £445.00 including VAT. A £150.00 deposit will secure a booking and the balance can be paid on the start date. The course is also available over 2 consecutive weekends.
