1. Business & Management 11.03%
Based on our findings from the UK Training Report, the most sought after training topic by visitor traffic in 2018 was business & management, drawing in 11.03% of visitor views.
Business and management is a very broad training category, making it a popular and suitable choice for a range of candidates.
Covering a wide variety of topics within L&D - business administration, business analysis, people management and more - we predict that business and management training will continue to draw in a substantial amount of traffic in 2019.
2. Finance 10.0%
The second most sought after training topic by visitor traffic in 2018 was finance training. Closely behind business & management training, finance captured 10.0% of traffic views.
Similar to business and management, finance training is made up of a variety of subcategories such as accounting, compliance and regulatory, payroll and bookkeeping. The importance of financial management for organizational success makes it unsurprising that finance training made it in the top 3 spots for most visited training topics.
Since financial regulations are not likely to stop changing anytime soon, financial training will most likely continue to hold a strong position within the world of professional development.
3. Health and Social Care 9.64%
The third most visited training category in 2018, bringing in 9.64% of user views, was health and social care. This category is comprised mainly of training for those working in healthcare professions: nursing, social work, childcare, nutrition.
In recent years the health care industry and the focus on preventative health has started to grow in the UK. As a result, new professionals are continuing to join the workforce with regular training often being required for healthcare professionals.
Due to the urgency of having qualified healthcare professionals, health and social care training will most likely grow in relevance in the upcoming year.
