This course is divided into two mandatory units, each containing four topics that cover elements of practical horticulture.

- Unit 2:Plant Science 2; Planting Styles; Horticulture and Society; Biodiversity.

Assessment
Each unit is assessed by a written exam covering all the specified learning outcomes.

This Level 2 qualification can help you start a career in horticulture. You could find yourself working in historical and botanical gardens, landscape management, country parks, recreation and golf courses. There are also opportunities in commercial horticulture, such as growing food crops, ornamental crops, hardy nursery stock production, floriculture and retailing.
It’s also a foundation for further training, including the RHS Level 2 Certificate in Practical Horticulture at Writtle College.
