Course description
This qualification provides learners with an in-depth understanding of the knowledge needed when working directly with children and young people in a school or college environment.?The qualification covers all aspects of specialist support including planning, delivering and reviewing assessment strategies to support learning alongside the teacher, bilingual support, special needs support, and personal development and reflective practice. As learners need to show competence in both skills and knowledge, they will need to be working or be on a practical placement during the taught programme of study.The Level 3 Diploma has been allocated UCAS points. Training Course Content
This course contains 16 mandatory units including developing professional relationships with children, young people and adults, supporting positive behaviour in children and young people and supporting children and young people’s speech, language and communication.

Duration of the course is a minimum of 18 months, with a maximum of 24 months.
