Course description
The Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning has been designed to provide you with an understanding of the knowledge and skills needed when working directly with children and young people’s development, supporting children and young people’s positive behaviour and communication and professional relationships.This course is aimed at people working in roles that support pupil’s learning in primary, secondary or special schools, as well as colleges.

You need to be working in a setting for the duration of the course to show competence in both skills and knowledge.
Training Course Content
This course contains 11 mandatory units that you will need to complete. These units will give you an understanding of children and young people’s development and incorporating the safeguarding and well-being of children and young people.
You will also learn how to support positive behaviour in learning environments, and how to maintain professional relationships with children and young people. You will also be working with staff to promote an effective learning environment for children and young people.
You will gain a further understanding of the full range of topics upon application to the course when you meet with your assessor who will be marking your work.
Course delivery details
Duration of the course is a minimum of 12 months, with a maximum of 18 months.
