Course description

If you have passed the Level 2 Principles of Safe Handling and Application of Pesticides (PA1) and use a knapsack sprayer to apply the pesticide, this is the follow-on course for you.

Suitability - Who should attend?

You must have completed and passed the Level 2 Principles of Safe Handling and Apllicaiton of Pesticides (PA1).

Training Course Content

After this course you will:

  • Know the legislative and safety regulations relating to applicator use
  • Be able to assess the environmental factors relating to mixing and application
  • Be able to read and interpret product information
  • Be able to prepare and calibrate a hand held pedestrian applicator
  • Be able to operate the application equipment
  • Know how to carry out post-operational procedures

Course delivery details

The assessment for these courses is conducted independently by a separate NPTC assessor. Assessments are on a separate day following the training, at designated time slots and are typically within a week of the training being completed; this is dependent on assessor availability.
