NCFE CACHE Level 3 Certificate in Understanding the Care and Management of Diabetes
What does this qualification cover?
The objectives of this qualification are to gain knowledge and understanding of diabetes, including:
• the types, causes, signs and symptoms of diabetes
• anatomy and physiology
• the impact of diabetes on individuals, others and society
• the treatment and management of diabetes
• common complications of diabetes.
Who is it suitable for?
There are no specific recommended prior learning requirements for this qualification, however, learners may find it helpful if they’ve already achieved a Level 2 qualification in a related subject.
What are the entry requirements?
Learners must be at least 16 years old. We do not set any other entry requirements but centres may have their own guidelines.
How is it assessed?
It will be assessed by your Tutor or Assessor using a portfolio of evidence.

No, this is a knowledge-only qualification.
