Property professionals and practitioners need to be aware of the
issues and up-to-date with procedures and regulations in relation to
asbestos, including what to look for and when to call in a specialist.
Understanding and managing asbestos risks in buildings remains
a major concern for property professionals. There are still large
numbers of non-domestic buildings containing asbestos in
some form and its presence poses continuing problems for their
maintenance, repair, modernisation, alteration and redevelopment.
A fundamental part of managing the risk from asbestos in buildings

of a long journey, ultimately leading to removal.
