Course description
This course will cover fire safety management, fire strategies and policies, their purpose structure and content. There'll be links to organisational health and safety and legislation such as the Fire Safety Order, Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations, the Housing Act, Licensing, Building Regulations, Construction Design and Management, Health and Safety at Work and other related regulations.
You'll learn about compliance - and consequences of non-compliance, fire risk assessment, the process and requirements of 'responsible, competent and relevant persons' and the meaning of competence. And, you'll learn about the Management, Occupancy, Construction, Time, Exits, Travel (MOCTET) system and Fire Safety Management Standards and Guidance.

- the Building Regulations, Part B Functional Fire Safety
- functional requirements B1-B5, design options ADB, BS9999, 7974, approved documents, British Standards, and DHCLG guides
