Who is the course for?
This BACP Accredited Course provides high quality professional training in counselling with a core integrative approach (relational and intersubjectivity theory).
The course incorporates two year personal development awareness time and mandatory personal therapy and includes specialist input from leaders in the fields of intersubjective and creative approaches to therapy and supervision.
What are the benefits of taking this course?
In attaining the graduate diploma you will be capable of practising as a qualified counsellor working independently and within multi-disciplinary teams to assess for, provide and evaluate counselling for individuals presenting with a wide range of personal, relationship, spiritual and critical incident / life stage issues.
Entry Requirements:
1. Normally a Certificate in Counselling Skills of approximately 90 hours class contact as a coherent group
2. Experience in a helping role in either a formal or informal capacity
3. Evidence of ability to study at HE level 2 (normally 120 credits at HE level 1/FE level 4)
This programme is free to all NHS employees working in the area covered by the Yorkshire and Humber Strategic Health Authority (see separate fees information) as the fees are paid by the strategic Health Authority. However, you should always discuss any proposed study with your manager as they maintain interest in your educational and professional development.
