Course description
Who is the programme for?
This programme will be attractive to health care professionals working in a variety of care environments. It will introduce you to the underpinning knowledge and skills required for the safe and effective assessment and management of people in a range of care settings.
What qualifications are gained?
On successful completion of this programme you will be awarded the Graduate Certificate in Healthcare Practice and will have earned 60 credits at level 3. Students wishing to pursue further study will be able to transfer the 60 credits achieved at level 3 directly in to the BSc (Hons) Healthcare Practice programme.
Entry Requirements
Applicants must:
- Have demonstrated their ability to study at level 3.
- Hold current registration with the relevant regulatory body (NMC, HPC etc).
- Have experience of caring for critically ill adults.
- Opportunities for the accreditation of prior learning and prior experience exist through the School’s credit accumulation and transfer procedures
This programme is free to all NHS employees working in the area covered by the Yorkshire and Humber Strategic Health Authority (see separate fees information) as the fees are paid by the strategic Health Authority. However, you should always discuss any proposed study with your manager as they maintain interest in your educational and professional development.
