Advanced Assessing and Formulation in Mental Health
This module is for people with a professional qualification in a health-related discipline and a first degree (or equivalent) working in a variety of settings with clients who have mental health needs.
Upon successful completion of this module as a standalone entity, credit gained could be utilised as part of the the PgDiP Enhanced Practice for level 7.
This module provides opportunities for you to gain expert assessment and formulation skills from a range of theoretical evidence and values-based approaches to mental health.
The module will facilitate the development of autonomous practice and clinical leadership in the context of current health and social care legislation and policy.

Must have recently completed a first degree. In addition evidence of all studies must be clear within your application.
Outcome / Qualification etc.
You will develop an autonomous critical leadership role in carrying out needs-led assessment and formulation from a theoretical context. Specifically, you will develop your skills in physical, psychological and social assessment applied to your own field of practice.
You will gain key skills in the assessment of risk, physical health and wellbeing and mental state. You will gain confidence through presentation, role play and rehearsal in collaboration with your peers.
