Course description
This module forms part of the postgraduate certificate pathway in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). However is suitable for study as an associate student or as part of the MSc Medical Imaging or Imaging in Medicine course. The module will develop the students ability to critically analyze and evaluate a broad range of magnetic resonance (MR) imaging applications and protocols.
Lectures by recognised clinical experts will introduce the students to a broad range of MR applications and protocols. Tutorials will be used to critically evaluate and reflect on protocols used in clinical practice and advocated by current literature. Directed study will be used to guide the student in their preparation of the presentations that they will be required to present to tutors and peers. The VLE will be used to support the students learning and to facilitate sharing and collaboration in problem solving.
