Approaches to Dementia Practice

This module aims to provide students with a critical awareness of the key concepts underlying, and a range of models and approaches to understanding dementia and dementia practice. It will provide knowledge of what constitutes excellence in dementia care that promotes well-being for people with dementia and their families and establishes a critical appreciation of the importance of professional development, personal learning and reflection in the role of a dementia practitioner.
