This approved qualification is perfect for organisations that are on a journey to build a safety awareness culture and need their Managers to play a key role in embedding safety policies and processes.
How Long Does The Course Last?
The course lasts for three days when delivered as a live online course or a classroom course or at your own pace via e-learning.
During the three days, you will complete the multiple-choice examination plus all the learning you need to write a practical risk assessment.
After the three-day course ends, you will have ten days to complete the practical in your own time.
Course delivery details
Your Managing Safely certificate will be awarded upon the successful completion of two assessments;
- a multiple-choice exam
- a practical work-based
The cost of both is included in the price of the course.
The IOSH Managing Safely Exam
The assessment is a multiple-choice examination, in which you will need to demonstrate what you have learned.
This is taken on the last day of the course with the support of your expert trainer.

The IOSH Managing Safely Practical Assessment
This is a workplace risk assessment, in which you must show how you apply your practical knowledge to real-life situations.
You will complete the project online and submit it to TSW via our dedicated submission form.
You have ten days from the last day of the course to complete and submit your practical assessment.

Assessment Support and Certification
