Navisworks: Fundamentals online
This course covers the basics of Autodesk Navisworks. Users are introduced to the concepts of Building Information Modeling and the tools for parametric building design and documentation. Users begin with learning the fundamental features of Autodesk Revit Architecture, and then progress through schematic design, construction documentation, and design visualization. This course is online. Attendees will attend the training courses via the GoToTraining software which will allow all attendees to see and hear the trainer, and their screen.
Course Objective
After completing this course Particiapants will be able to effectively use the range of tools in Navisworks for the following types of tasks:
- Navigation and walk through simulations for client, in house reviews, and project coordination meetings.
- Set up and manage Navisworks NWD, NWF and NWC files for effective coordination with all project stakeholders.
- Create links to external databases such as Excel, Microsoft project and Primavera among others.
- Create construction simulations for phasing, site planning, and validation of construction schedules.
- Generate interactive animations for client presentations, marketing demonstrations and services.
- Produce photorealistic stills and animations for quick presentations and effective project/client communications.
- Effectively use the Clash Detective to perform clash tests across multiple file types for project coordination and design review.
- Create Clash Reports for in house review and construction reports.

- Courses start at 9.30am prompt and normally finish at 4.30pm
Lunchtime and breaks
During the training course we will have short breaks for Particiapants, as required, between modules. Lunch will start around 12:30pm for approximately 1 hour.
