Course description
What will I learn?
Have you ever been curious about how relationships work between people? Do you ever look at society and wonder about the way it functions and is organised? Or perhaps you’re always at the centre of a debate on politics, current affairs or religion. If this sounds like you, this Certificate in Social Sciences and Humanities could be perfect! The course is ideal for giving you an introduction into a number of key subjects including psychology, law, sociology, criminology, history and English, and can help you understand which area you’d like to focus on in more detail for a future career. You’ll look at topics such as what makes someone tick at an individual level, and learn how society has evolved over time. You’ll get an introduction to literature, and explore the foundations of sociology and psychology. You’ll also be developing the skills and knowledge you’ll need for further study in a subject you’re passionate about.
